| | Description of the Organization Shalom Mobile Health Ministry, Inc. is a faith-based 501c(3) nonprofit organization initiated by The United Methodist Church in 1997 to provide healthcare to the uninsured, underserved and undocumented. The main focus of the ministry is to provide primary healthcare for all members of the family, without a specific focus on any age group. Shalom collaborates with The Methodist Hospital Laboratory Service, The Rose, MD Anderson Mobile Mammography, Healthcare for the Homeless, Vaccines for Children, Immunization Coalition, San Jose Clinic, and Habitat for Humanity to provide services to over 4,000 clients of all ages each year. Shalom Mobile Health is also a teaching facility for Texas Women's University. Mission Statement "Bringing Healthcare to the Underserved"
