Collaborative Efforts Strengthen
and Transform Communities
Collaboration is one of the Charities' operating values, and it is this area that has evolved and developed substantially. The Charities partners with many institutional, public health and faith-based partners seeking input, guidance and leadership.
We maximize mission-matched efforts by convening educational, healthcare, and community-based organizations to form deliberative and strategic alliances to target specific issues. Collaboration is crucial to designing health solutions and creating systemic, transformative change in our disadvantaged communities. Since the economic downturn, collaboration has become even more important. These collaboratives have produced a systematic development of goals, objectives, timelines, outcomes and budgets. In addition, these collaboratives aid in communicating community-specific research findings, calls to action and shared successes.

Institutions and the Charities Partner to Advance Health
The Charities has emphasized a solid commitment to enhancing population and public health from its inception. These approaches have been augmented by other social change theoretical underpinnings, including those aligned with participatory democracy, justice and equality. Building on this strong foundation over the years, the Charities has been able to implement a cohesive strategy to advance community health through evidence-based health programs.
